Accessibility

We believe every woman who finds her way to this site should be able to read it, use it, and take the next step without friction or exclusion.

Accessibility is part of the message, not an afterthought. This page describes what we’ve done to make liberatedsobriety.org usable for as many people as possible, what we’re still working on, and how to reach us if you run into something that doesn’t work for you.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level across the site. We treat this as an ongoing commitment, not a finished project.

What we’ve built in

  • Semantic HTML structure with a clear heading hierarchy
  • A “skip to content” link for keyboard users
  • Visible focus outlines on every interactive element
  • ARIA labels on navigation, the mobile menu toggle, and decorative imagery
  • Color contrast that meets AA standards for all body text
  • Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion browser setting — animations are softened or disabled for visitors who prefer it
  • Keyboard navigability across menus, forms, and interactive elements
  • Alt text on all content imagery

What we’re still working on

A site is never truly done. We are continuing to test with assistive technologies, refine our forms, add transcripts to any future video or audio content, and audit third-party embeds (checkout, SMS opt-in, etc.) for accessibility.

If something isn’t working

If you encounter a page, form, or element on this site that is difficult to use with a screen reader, keyboard, or other assistive technology — please let us know. We take every report seriously and will work to address it quickly.

The best way to reach us is through our contact page. Please describe what you were trying to do, what device and assistive technology you were using, and where on the site the issue occurred. We’ll reply and do our best to resolve it.
